      Ebon & Onyx Press is currently looking for short fiction (under 2k words) in the following genres:

      Dark Romance, General Horror, Erotic Horror, Extreme Horror, Splatterpunk, Cosmic Horror, Folk Horror, Weird Horror and Gothic Fairy tales

      We are a press that celebrates taboo reads and understands the challenges authors face with these stories, therefore we encourage dark literature!

      We are looking for work that is deliciously written, descriptive and immersive. Page turning suspense, engaging hooks, and every line, object, and person being shockingly intentional in the story.

      The following genres are NOT accepted:

      Sci-fi, fantasy, historical fiction, romance, non-fic, mystery, thriller.

      The following content is NOT accepted:

      Fanfiction, calls for violence, real persons, plagarism, ai generated stories, children in violent or sexual scenarios, parodies

      By submitting to Ebon & Onyx Press, you agree to grant us First Serial Rights, meaning we have the right to publish your work first. After a brief exclusivity period of 3 months, all rights revert back to you. If you republish the piece elsewhere, please credit us as:

      “First published in Ebon & Onyx Press.”

      Simultaneous submissions are allowed, just let us know in your submission and again if accepted elsewhere.

      We do not accept multiple submissions at once, you may submit one piece, if not accepted, you may try again with a new piece after one month.

      Turnaround time is 8 wks.

      You can fast track your submission to 2 wks for an small fee.
